My grandmother is a frequent customer
at the Kenner Rouses on West Esplanade.
She has difficulty walking, and one of your
employees, Jamal, helps her retrieve a bas-
ket, meets her at the checkout and helps
her walk down the ramp from your store
every week. He then loads all of her gro-
ceries into her car. Jamal’s willingness to
help my grandmother every week is touch-
ing. As her granddaughter, I am apprecia-
tive of his kindness and thoughtfulness.
Kindest regards
—Nicole M.
Just wanted to drop you a note letting you
know how much we are enjoying our re-
modeled Rouses on General de Gaulle.
You did a great job on the store! I also
wanted to compliment your employee
Donna who works in the deli section there;
she always goes out of her way to be helpful
and friendly. Sincerely

I just wanted to let you know how much
I enjoy shopping at store 35. The store
is always clean, well lit, well stocked and
the employees are always friendly. I live in
Chalmette and drive to your store when
I need to make a large grocery purchase.
I have a Winn-Dixie and several smaller
stores here local, but I only use them for
small items I might need. Thank you
—David J.

I shop at the one in Kenner! I love it. The
prices are better on the produce I use then
Walmart is and the people know me there.

I just have to say, I love love, love your
store. I shop at the Youngsville location
and am always impressed by the friendly
smiles and great customer service. Let me
tell you about my experience at the deli.
I have a lot of food allergies and when I
go to the deli, I always ask them to clean
the blades, wash hands and change glove,
which ensure that no residue from past
meats or cheeses gets on my meat. I was
very nervous the first time I asked because
I’m used to eye rolling and sighs because
I’m putting them out. NOT at Rouses.
My request was received with a smile and
they politely did as I asked. They under-
stood and much obliged to help me. They
now recognize me and when they see me,
they immediately start to clean the blades.
I don’t even have to ask anymore, unless I
get someone new. I love this store.

Just wanted to say Rouses #15 in Houma
has been on top their game. It’s hard to find
people who care that much in a store atmo-
sphere these days. Thank you for instilling
great work ethic into your employees.

My Aunt just returned from shopping
at the Epicurean in Thibodaux. She
asked that I let y’all know about
Zachary, a bag boy. He is the most
polite and congenial employee she’s
ever come into contact with at Rouses.
He’s always friendly and eager to help.
He told her to have them call for him
whenever she’s shopping and he will
always help her with her groceries.
She offered him a tip, to which he
responded, “You don’t need to do that,
I enjoy my job.”
—Mary E.
This same young man helped me last
week! As I was putting my 16 month
old daughter in the car he came up
and said “Let me take care of these
groceries while you go and sit down
and relax, since I know when they are
that young you never have much time
to relax.”
—Jennifer S
I love this. I stopped a manager recently
and told him that Zachary is the most
polite worker, always has a smile and
always asks about how I’m doing. I’m
so glad others noticed this too.
—Clare L.
Zachary for president! I had the same
experience.
