VOTED ONE OF THE
BEST PLACES TO WORK
Way To Go, Nino!
Congratulations to Chef Nino, named
one of the
Best Chefs of Louisiana
by
the American Culinary Federation’s New
Orleans Chapter.
WELCOME TO ROUSES
Good morning, I recently had a Heritage
Reserve Orange (delicious) at a race I ran
in and was told that I could get them at
Rouses. I walked into your store on Baronne
Street this morning and was greeted by at
least 10 different Rouses employees (not
an exaggeration), each of them said to me
(almost verbatim), “Good morning
Sir, welcome to Rouses, can I help you
with anything?” Aside from the kind words
in and of themselves, each of them had a
demeanor about them that made me feel
happy to be in your store. When it is early in
the morning, to have someone smile at you
and say good morning for no reason is truly
a pleasure.
—Louis
I just wanted to write to let you know that I
recently visited Rouses Market #4 inHouma,
Louisiana, and there was a lady in the cold
cuts department, Christina Smith, that was
very kind and outgoing. She had a smile on
her face from the moment she greeted me
with a “Welcome to Rouses,” until the time I
got my order and left.

Just wanted to take a little time to give a
big compliment to the associates at the
Epicurean Rouses in Thibodaux.The cashier
and the bagger were wonderful and were

Immigration from all over the world has inspired and continues to inspire what we eat and
how we eat on the Gulf Coast. Vietnamese food is having quite a moment! Guest cook
Tuyet Vo made the popular Vietnamese noodle soup ph
ở
(pronounced “fuh”) in our Rouses
Test Kitchen recently. Vo started the beef broth the day before — it takes hours and hours
to extract all of the flavors from the beef bones and aromatics — and finished in our Test
Kitchen.The ph
ở
was served with raw beef, bean sprouts, cilantro and basil from our rooftop
garden in New Orleans.

so kind and helpful! Someone even greeted
me on the way out! Couldn’t ask for better
customer service. Keep up the great work!

I just wanted to comment on the personnel
in the Clearview store. I go to this store
several times a week and my experience has
always been pleasant. Andy and John in the
produce, and Ronald and Ms. Myrtle in the
meat are all very helpful, even Jay who checks
me out is always so pleasant. When I walk
into My Rouses store on Clearview, it feels
like I’m with family.Thank you for keeping a
clean and friendly store to do my groceries.
—Joe
I am writing to tell you how much I enjoy
shopping at Rouses in Springhill, Alabama.
My wife and I started to shop at Rouses not
long after it opened. This store is a ways from
my house (several miles), so it is a little trip
to go there, but we do about twice a week.
The people, the prices and the selection
are fantastic. We are very happy customers
of Rouses. We have a Winn Dixie about 4
blocks from our house and only go there
when it is absolutely necessary! Keep up the
good work and we will keep shopping at
Rouses!
